you can see the operations in this video:
the top gear transmits power to the paddle, and the bottom gear turns the paddle around. It’s a shame that even with Elasticity set to 1 on both gears, there is slipping on the bottom gear. You can see that after 1 minute in the video, the assembly is rotating, even though the two gears in contact with the bottom cog are welded to the boat.
