Sarcasm is funny until nobody can tell that it’s sarcasm anymore. It’s especially bad when you’re leading people to believe worst-case scenarios on updates that everyone is sensitive to. Jerking around the community like this for your own personal amusement is not professional behavior and I’d appreciate if we could have proper, serious discussion on updates instead of being treated like jokes and being left hanging trying to determine if something is sarcastic or not because somebody thought it would be funny to watch us running around like that. Please stop.
was there any specific case that caused you to post this? just wondering.

When discussing the new profile page, the response we got was “It’s for regular users so developer feedback doesn’t matter much”. People were speculating whether he was being sarcastic / trolling, and we shouldn’t have to guess whether a post is sarcastic or not. It also happened back with something to do with party sizes and we were told “Well the max party size should only be 12(or something like that) because games like LoL have a maximum of 12 players in the largest map”. A couple of us typed up a lot of stuff in response about how ROBLOX was different from LoL and we were told “Oh yeah, that was just a joke.” I’m not a fan of having to guess whether a post is a joke or not, and we shouldn’t have to guess that for the reasons stated in the OP.

They seem to be assuming that since we are developers who work in the game environment and not on the website, our input on website-based matters is no more significant than feedback from any other kid who plays roblox.
Why even make this thread? Couldn’t you post your concern (or not at all, since it’s obviously going to cause an argument) in the thread with the post that got you all worked up? 99% of people here do take posting feedback seriously, there’s no need for a rant about it.

The problem was we were told that our feedback was irrelevant even though the people they claimed the layout was for were suggesting the exact same things as we were.
On top of that, the mockup I made was called “the old version with some tweaks” which is a blatant lie. Almost everything was copy/pasted from the new layout.
Again I had to decide whether or not he was being sarcastic that it was the old layout with some changes or if he was genuinely oblivious.
It’s happened in multiple threads like I mentioned in an earlier post. It isn’t related to one particular post. It’s a re-occurring issue.
i looked through those threads; i honestly had trouble finding anything worth making a thread about.

Jonibus and I post about how LoL and ROBLOX are different, etc. “Oh it was a joke”. We just worried that the max party size would be way too small and explained why the party size should be increased for no reason.

To add on to this, Becky used to have a signature that said she didn’t read PMs here (I think she’s changed it now though), and I assume the reasoning for that is that it’s almost impossible to tell when you have PMs here because there’s not really any notification. That kind of reasoning would apply to every staff member here, and that’s probably the case because I’ve PMed a couple staff members on different occasions and never received a response back, so I assume none of them bother with the clunky PM system here.
With that in mind, I decided it would be better for me to post a thread.

The gods may be sarcastic while that are talking about non-critical things. Drop the sarcasm when people think an issue is genuinely important to them.

In a casual setting, saying what you want to say is fine, assuming it’s not too offensive
