Story Game Lobby Feedback

Hello everyone,

I recently started working on a story game (name is undisclosed), and I was tasked with creating a lobby.

Before I send this to my comissioner, I’d like to take your feedback on how it looks (rate out of 10), I’d love to hear from you in the given areas;

  • Polishedness: How polished do you think my lobby looks? Let me know.
  • Visual Appearance: Does it appear too bright, too dark, or is somethign just not right?
  • Use Of Materials: Are the assets well-used? Do you think everything is in the correct spot?
  • Audience Appearance: Do you think the lobby fits all ages? Furthermore, will all age groups (1-18) find it good?

Any ideas for improvement, let me know.

Although it’s a bit generic, it honestly looks pretty good. Judging by its playful look, I’m assuming your target audience is <13.

Thank you for your kind feedack. My audience is all ages. I thought instead of making a brain rot game I’d go for what I am passionate; story games. From a player’s eye, does it represent a story game?

If you’re asking if the lobby looks like it’s intended for a story game, the answer is yes. It’s certainly well-organized and visually appealing.

Great work. I do have two slight problems:

  • The buses look a bit high-poly compared to the rest of the build. Maybe find a low-poly model?
  • The palm trees contrast with the conifers right above them. Very nitpicky, I know, but consider making the palms some other kind of tree that seems to fit the same environment as those pines.

Aside from that lovely build. Hope to see more soon!

I’d like to see a camping-inspired story game when it comes to the graphics. Maybe try to add some textures to the plastic meshes, but keep the bright colors?

Needs more gamepass prompts and wheel spins for extra profit.

Jk. Looks great. However, I do agree with @HollywoodPLUS.

Thank you. Any ideas on how it can be made less generic so it fits my theme better (about bit more cartoonish but still have that feeling where “something is just not right”)?

Anyone here for the topic or feedback? Lmk.

This story game lobby looks great! It’s colorful and filled up! Good job on this! How long did it take to make this story game lobby? I rate it 9/10! If you want to, you should add arrows pointing down at the busses which take the players into the game itself so they’re a bit easier to find for kids.

Thank you for your feedback.
To answer your questions:

  • It took me two days to build this. Altough I am not a professional builder, I nevertheless tried my best.
  • I do already have arrows pointing at buses but it did not appear on the image because of my poor photographing skills.

Gives me field trip z vibes. I like it! It kind of feels a bit empty though, maybe add more decorations in that giant walking area, maybe more benches?

From a very critical viewpoint, I’d say it looks okay. Seems like a generic story game lobby.

Tho there are some things that are throwing me off.
First off, the lighting could use some work imo.
The lobby looks a little plane, since there are tons of repeating models everywhere.
The lobby also looks a bit empty, since the mountain sides and pathways don’t really have anything to make them interesting. The grass areas are bettee, but still look a bit off to me.
The scale of things is off everywhere: the lamp posts are miniscule, however the palm trees are huge - at least it looks like that to me, no character in the images to compare the sizes to properly.
The bus, as some have already mentioned, doesn’t fit with the low-poly look that the rest of the lobby has.

Now, don’t get overwhelmed by all this, I was mainly focusing on what I found to not fit in my opinion.
The lobby still has many nice things about it to, as others have pointed out already.
