Strawberry Game Jam Submission

Hello, I participated in the Strawberry Game Jam and we were given 1 hour to make a game on roblox without using previous assets or free models. This is my submission and please give feedback if you can.

the game design is Marvelous i may suggest fixing the laser hitbox tho

Thanks! I made the camera always look at the player from above and changed the camera’s field of view to 100 so the blocks look taller and depth perception is kinda wonky.

Its great and I like it but the click to walk is super annoying and really slows me down

Yeah sorry, since the game is really not that long and the buttons are used a lot. I thought adding a click to walk would make it feel more unique and might increase the judges scoring of my game. I also plan to give a player limited moves to complete levels which is why I wanted to create the click to walk feature.

I think its a great idea but if youre going to limit how players can move its gotta look good, the sky and white stone was blinding, maybe try a terraria style dungeon, really go that extra mile well making it easy on the eyes

Yeah, I’m gonna add upon this even though the game jam is over since this feedback is great. Btw what white stone are you talking about? Idk which white stone you’re talking about but I think I know what you mean. I didn’t add any lighting effects to the floor though so idk if you are talking about how the sky color and the floor mixed or something. If you mean the doors or walls I understand that and am probably going to change the floor material since it does look pretty reflective. I’ll look up terraria dungeons. Thanks for the advice!
Edit: I understand what you mean by terraria style dungeons though I want to keep the camera perspective on top of the player. I’ll be trying my best to add unique puzzles to the game that utilize the llimited amount of moves allowed per level.

I said white but its the grey floor, I dunno if its just me but looking directly at it when it takes up most of the screen is blinding, if it had like a texture or detail it would be more bearable

Oh okay, I think its okay how it is but like you said, I gotta go that extra mile to make the game look good. I’ll find some textures to use if I can or simply change the color of the floor.
