StreamingEnabled not streaming tools properly after being equipped/unequipped outside of streaming range

This has been a recurring issue inside of S.C.P. Site-81 Roleplay, where weapons (I’m not sure why weapons specifically, but it’s always weapons) appear invisible for certain players.
Our map uses elevators that teleport people across different regions of the facility, and it is usually after some teleport that a player’s weapons can become invisible to others, which greatly harms the gameplay experience.

The video below demonstrates the issue in a reproduction place:

I’ve attached the reproduction file used in the video in the private content.
This may be similar to https://devforum.roblox.com/t/streaming-enabled-failing-to-load-in-parts/4738559, but I’ve opened a separate bug report due to the easily reproducible nature & tool-specific version of the issue.

Hello!
Thank you for the report and repro place. We have reproduced the issue and are working towards a root cause and solution. We will update here when we have more concrete findings.

Do you know when this issue started occurring?

I couldn’t say, really.

The issue has been in our game pretty much ever since release (December 19th, 2025), and we’ve tried tackling it over time in different ways, such as changing streaming modes, trying to make characters persistent, etc., and nothing really worked or interfered with some other aspect of the game, which led me to believe this was a streaming problem rather than something with our guns.
I’ve only gotten around to reporting it now.

Thank you for your patience in this matter. I can say that we’ve identified the issue and are working towards a solution. Sadly, I still do not have a solid timeframe for this. I will update once I have more confidence in such.

Also thanks for providing a simple and minimal repro place!

All good, thanks for looking into it.

Hello! I am sorry for the slow updates, this has been more complex than originally intended. However, we have 2 solutions, and one has close to being finalized. The first should greatly reduce this issue if you are able to make the character models Atomic, though not make it entirely impossible. This should land in about 2 weeks. The second should fully fix this issue, but the estimated timeline on that is further out and less certain. I will continue to update as more is done, thank you for your patience in this matter.

That’s great to hear, thanks. Let me know once the full fix is out.
