Latest Update: 04/28/2026 (Systems Update)
Combat & Rules

Consent-Based PVP: Citizen PVP is now consent-based unless during certain events.
Ex: PVP will be disabled for Citizen vs Citizen interactions, however SOMPD Team & Police AI will still be able to arrest & kill you if you are wanted. -
Turf Raids: During raids, “Total War” is active—everyone is eligible to fight.

Law Enforcement: Shooting officers now results in an instant 2-star wanted level.

Safezones: Police can now bypass safezones to pursue wanted players.
Police System
- Ranked Armory: Added rank-based weapons; Recruits now receive the M4 (Semi).
- Standard Issue: Police are now restricted from using street/meta weapons to maintain fairness.
- Equipment: Taser range has been reduced for balance.
- Vehicles: Added a new Unmarked Sedan for Detective rank and above.

Gameplay Systems
- Ammo: Added infinite ammo (manual reloads still required).
- Justice: Jail time is now calculated as 10s Ă— wanted level.
- Prison Break: Players can now attempt to break out of prison (escaping grants 2 stars).
World & AI
- Safezones: Added designated safezones for non-wanted players.
- Police AI: Further improvements to AI chasing and arrest logic.
Note
Changes may be adjusted based on feedback. Servers restart automatically every 6 hours.

Fixes & Features
- Main Menu Fix: Resolved an issue where the menu wouldn’t load after skipping the intro.
- Weather System: Added dynamic weather including rain and thunderstorms.
- ATM Robberies: Reworked system; players now punch ATMs to collect cash incrementally.
- Police AI: Improved behavior; AI now attempts PIT maneuvers and boxing in vehicles.
- Balance: Minor weapon adjustments and tutorial system updates.
Update: 04/25/2026 — Feature Update
First-Time Experience
- Added a guided mini-tutorial for purchasing guns and completing the first job.
- Level 1 players receive a Tutorial Vest (ends at Level 2).
Mission Systems
- Added visible markers/prompts for heist drop-offs to clarify duffel bag delivery locations.
Gameplay & Visuals
- Rebalanced weapon stats and improved gun handling/audio.
- World: Traffic lights are now fully animated (Red, Yellow, Green) client-side.
- Police: Updated logo, revamped uniforms, vests, and modern police cruisers.
- Graphics: New thumbnails and general visual fidelity improvements.

Gameplay Changes
- Health reverted to 100 HP.
- Content maturity updated to Moderate.
Player Experience
- Removed “Click to Play” screen for direct loading.
- Level 1 players spawn/respawn at the Gun Store.
Police System
- Added SOMPD leveling system where group rank reflects in-game rank.
