One thing that bothers me is I believe that the reimport changes the asset’s owner. When I first upload a meshpart owned by my group and then edit and reimport it then the new asset is owned by my account, which makes it especially annoying when working with editablemesh.
Happy new year! I just wanted to let you know that yesterday, I rolled out an update that should fix the alignment issues you were experiencing
The fix is part of Reimport v0.1.4, you can check the post here for how to verify the version, and get the latest if you don’t have it.
Please let me know if this resolves the issues you were facing!
Sorry for a bit of a late reply, but I’m still encountering similar issues it seems.
The eyes were originally in the right place, then I moved them out.
Worth mentioning that the pivot points of the roblox-imported parts are all put to the center of the scene, rather than centered on the monkey, for example. I don’t know if that is a bug though.
Here’s the repro

Darn! Sorry this is still happening, I DM’d you so we can deep-dive into this
Update: seems like this was a plugin version/update issue, version 0.1.4 of the plugin works for this example. If anyone runs into similar issues with versions >=0.1.4 please let me know!
Can’t wait to be able to replace the mesh content of MeshIDs. I have too many assets that have been reappropriated by others in an unauthorized manner and currently have no reliable way of preventing their use without dumping potentially thousands of dollars into a lawsuit.
