Basically what’s in the title. I’m trying to open a second instance of studio to have two different files open at the same time for copying and pasting some assets I have saved into a baseplate to work on. When attempting to open a new window either within the studio application throguh File > Open from File or Open from Roblox, a new window will briefly open… then close the existing one after it initializes. This also works when simply opening roblox studio while running roblox studio on the home page, same thing.
I’ve tried reinstalling, clearing cache, and so on. It happens with any file, experience, or even with no experience opened up in studio at all. There don’t appear to be any crash logs of any sort related to this. I don’t really remember roblox not allowing more than one studio window open at a time; if that’s a new thing you can’t do anything about that is-- well… Unfortunate. I hope that’s not the case.
Expected behavior
I haven’t touched studio in years so perhaps this is some new thing or a consequence of updating from a years old version of studio to the current one; but I distinctly recall and know for a fact I used to be-able to open multiple instances of studio (up to 5!) with separate places or files loaded up with zero issues except for maybe some ram usage.
