Studio crashing when deleting a big model, or when I union big parts together

Another bug? Yeah, unfortunately.

My bug is that Studio keeps on randomly crashing when I delete a big model, or union big parts together.

This has been happening for a WHILE now, and it so annoying. I’ll be making models and use unions to clear up some room and easier welding.

Here’s a clip from a few minutes ago when I tried unioning two parts together:

I know user LezRowl made a similar post, but their post didn’t lead to any answers.

For anyone asking, I’ll give my specs. Let me know you need specific ones, and I’ll try to find it.

Processor: Intel(R) Core™ i5-8400 CPU
System Type: 64-Bit

If you know a fix, please tell me.

Alright, I think I found a fix.

It was the Oculus app. Whenever I started Studio It would open and that might be the reason?
If not, I have no clue.

If you are experiencing this problem too, I’ll give you some help.

Here’s our (current) fix.

Step 1: Open up Task Manager.

Step 2: Go to Background Processes and click the “O” key on your keyboard. And scroll until you see “OVR Redir”, and “OVR Service Launcher”

Step 3: End those tasks. Including “OVRServer_x64.exe” (for some people it may be OVRServer_x32.exe) Once you end them, your screen should go black for a second.

Step 4: Go back to studio, and that’s it. You have done it. The only problem, you might have to re-open the Oculus app afterward or VR won’t work until you do that.

So uh yeah… I inserted a large model and took around 20 seconds so insert it. But when I deleted it… It froze roblox studio and there was no escape because on a mac you cant click force quit or shut down because the loading crusor makes it so you can’t click ANYTHING. I have been really annoyed and roblox studio has been like that for the past 3 hours…
