Studio editor on macOS capped at 120 FPS when not play-testing

On the macOS ARM version of Roblox Studio, the editor’s frame rate is restricted to 120 FPS, while initiating a play-test session allows the engine to run at 240 FPS. This behavior is not observed on the Windows version of Roblox Studio when tested with the same 240Hz display.

Closing the play-test session causes the editor to revert to the 120 FPS limit.

All beta features are enabled with the exception of the “New Luau type solver”

Expected behavior

The editor should match the in-game Maximum Frame Rate setting, similar to how the play-test does.

Bump. Experiencing this as well. When studio isn’t focused, I’m seeing Render hit upwards of 500. When I focus on the window it drops to 120. Huh?
