Summary
In Studio edit mode and play mode, most textures and MeshParts fail to load. Rarely, the same issue occurs in Roblox Player as well.
The following error log sometimes appears:
MeshContentProvider failed to process https://assetdelivery.roblox.com/v1/asset?id=18718319163 because 'could not fetch'
Where it occurs
It occurs on Studio for all development members of my group.
When it started
From November 12, 2025
Reproduction Steps
- Open any of our group’s places in Studio
- Wait for the place to fully load in edit mode
- Observe that most MeshParts display as grey boxes or missing textures
- Check Output window - “could not fetch” errors may appear
- Press F5 to test in play mode
- Observe that the issue persists
- Close and reopen Studio
- Notice that different assets now fail to load
Details
- When reopening Studio, the textures and MeshParts that fail to load change.
- After clearing Studio cache (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Roblox and %TEMP%\Roblox) and restarting the PC after reinstalling Studio, the issue sometimes improves, but the issue reoccurs when reopening Studio.
- When running with Studio’s multi-client simulation (Server and Client), this issue is less likely to occur. However, the issue still occurs in Studio edit mode.
- This issue rarely occurs when running in Roblox Player as well.
- Even if assets that failed to load are reloaded with ContentProvider.PreloadAsync(), they never load successfully.
Other things I tried
- Setting Workspace.StreamingEnabled to false
- Changing Studio settings
- Increasing mesh cache size
- Setting edit quality level to maximum
- Turning off Firewall and Windows Defender
System Information
