Studio "freezes" after playtest

can confirm this issue is also occurring on my end

same here, usually on a playtest that lasts a minute or more

Same issue. It’s still happening with me. When it freezes, it reaches 100% CPU usage in Task Manager, then suddenly drops to 25% after Roblox Studio closes.

Started experiencing this issue a few days, occurs on 100% of play tests and is quite an inconvenience… (╥_╥)

I have started to experience this issue today too. Worked perfectly fine before, but now I have to keep redoing everything after the playtest if I forgot to save the file.
However, it seems to me that it gets triggered if you click playtest and then stop playtesting very fast (For example when the “Rendering is paused for debugging” thing appears)

Having this since several weeks, always freezing. I noticed that sometimes when I go fullscreen in and out it just works again, I didnt need to do that before, now it always goes into that frozen state and I have to look if im lucky or not.

Happened again to me after today’s update. ~10 local play tests was OK. I opened Roblox Client and stopped test. Camera got frozen on empty workspace and I was forced to kill studio process (typical freeze)

Started happening to me, studio freezes then crashes on half of the playtests I do.

Started happening two weeks ago and because of it I lost motivation on a game

Same problem here. The studio not only freezes, but recently I have been experiencing extreme lag in any action, even moving a simple part makes my studio freeze for about 1.5 seconds. As a builder, this is absolutely killing my workflow.

Still needs to be fixed. It’s frustrating as all hell

I just had this happen again!!! This time a different file, if this happens to anyone I have a tip that can help you save some progress!!!

Press F7 to start a server test, this will open another studio with a server and possibly clients depending on how many you have set to open

I have used this trick both times and it allowed me to save my progress by simply copying changes from the server to a new file (or perhaps even just saving the active server to a file directly). I really hope this is fixed but for anyone suffering from this I hope this can help in the meantime!
