Studio Graphics Settings are tanking my FPS

I have been trying to figure out why Roblox Studio is running at 20 fps. I literally get better frames with EVERY other game or application on my computer.

I did some digging; I did some prompting.
Gemini found some flags for ClientAppSettings.json that, in short, enable the now, removed ‘Vulkan’.

{
  "FFlagDebugGraphicsPreferVulkan": "true",
  "FFlagDebugGraphicsDisableDirect3D11": "true"
}

This rocketed my framerate from 24 (max) to around 200 fps. By enabling Vulkan, it increased my FPS by around 8 times and counting.

Now, I’m not a man of much pride; I can admit that my computer is below standard, but I’ve never seen anything run at this low a frame rate.

It’d also be important to note that I’m not the only one experiencing this problem.
Another user: Vulkan Graphics option is gone

It’d be convenient if the rest of the graphics options were re-added, even if you have to enable another setting to get them; not mess with fastflags.

Expected behavior

Should be running at a stable framerate, probably around 80-120 minimum, but it goes much higher, as we’ve learned.

hey, thanks for reporting this issue! we are working to investigate certain users are relying on Vulkan instead of other rendering modes, and why issues are solved with specfiically Vulkan - could you send over you logs and a microprofiler dump of the slow FPS issue when you don’t have Vulkan set?

I tried to remove the ClientAppSettings.json, but it did not return to its previous state.
Vulkan is now an option in the dropdown menu, which leads me to assume that Direct3D11 is disabled too, and the logs are no longer in my Roblox logs folder.

Do you know any way that I could revert it properly?

sorry, please set the following flag in your ClientAppSettings.json to use studio with vulkan disabled

{
  "FFlagStudioDisableVulkanGraphicsMode": "true",
}

Sorry for the late reply, it doesn’t disable it for some reason.
I double-checked the version hash; it still doesn’t work.
