This morning i installed the latest studio update, after that, my laptop proceeded to have enormous freezes, program window crashes until a black screen forcing me to restart my computer. I debugged and bench marked everything (CPU, GPU, RAM…). I even uninstalled my graphics driver and updated them to make sure everything was cleanly installed.
I also proceeded to fully remove studio from my system along all of its binaries and cached files to reinstall it. Yet I still seem to have the same issue. Studio makes my whole laptop freeze, provokes black screens or window crashes while making my CPU reach unseen temperatures while using barely 15% of my CPU power.
Even while on OCCT, my CPU drawing 100% of its power barely reached 75°C. I am running an rtx 4070 mobile GPU with a ryzen 7 7840HS CPU with 16Gio of DDR5 memory. And in case you’re wondering, yes I still have enough space on my local drive, more than 200Go left.
Expected behavior
If everything was working correctly, my roblox Studio wouldn’t cause my laptop to have freezes or black screens until a system restart is necessary.
