Have you tried reinstalling studio?
I got this issue too, but you can still work freely just by ignoring this extra widget.
Seems that studio also returns back to the start page when pressing the X button to close, instead of just closing the app like it used to so you have to press X twice now.
Ye i also got this, pretty weird stuff
