Studio keeps making me downgrade and upgrade versions

So i just opened a backup i just made yesterday for some code, and roblox tells me my version is Out Of Date. Not only this, i’m told to close all instances to then apparently downgrade.

I used the SAME Roblox version.

This makes developing the biggest hassle bc i have to close the actual game > downgrade > copy code > close old game > update to new version > paste code.

I should just be able to open old game > copy and paste code > close old game

Does anyone else have this issue, and how do i fix this??? i shouldn’t have to be doing these extra steps for somthing small i need as it wastes time.

UPDATE, this also happens for simply pressing edit on published games i own

Maybe check your plugins, I had this happen the other day when I disabled a plugin so maybe one of them just keeps triggering that prompt

how would i tell if any plugins are causing it?

i found a bypass, in studio, click Open from Roblox instead

Just disable them all, then re-enable one by one until you start getting the problem again.
I would enable a plugin, restart studio, open a place (to make sure the plugins load fully), then close studio and open it like you usually do, and if it starts showing up again you can consider that plugin the problem. And just to double check, disable all other plugins to see if it’s a conflict between multiple plugins causing the problem.
Of course, if it still shows up even with all plugins disabled it’s obviously not the plugins but I can’t think of anything else that would cause it
