Studio Lag in Start Page & Places

When I open studio, regardless of if I have a place opened, there is heavy lag occurring. The debug menus show the frames appearing to be capped around 15 FPS. When I close widgets, notably the Explorer, that jumps up to about 30 FPS. The microprofiler shows the “Perform/Present” task taking around 40 ms up to 60 ms every single frame. The lag happens during both edit and play time. I tried restarting my PC, reinstalling studio, and disabling the beta features; none of those fixed the lag. The Windows Task Manager shows that studio is taking barely any CPU %, and under 10% GPU even during the lag. When the studio window is unfocused the lag does not occur, but focused it does. Additionally, when I look around in the viewport area there is screen tear happening.

I do not have a specific repro place because this happens in ANY place I attempt to open including even just the start page.

Hello, can you try disable Next Gen Studio Preview beta feature?

Hello, I just disabled the next gen studio preview beta feature but this is still happening with my fps at an average of around 10fps

Same issue here.
Getting delays in script editor, find all window and explorer. Basically everything in studio is lagging.

I have tried disabling all beta features, yet the lag still happened in that case.

Hi all, the next thing to try is to disable the G-sync: Having the script editor open causes severe lag in Studio - #7 by Panwellz

Disabling G-Sync fixed the issue.

That also does fix the issue for me. Should I mark this thread as fixed now? It might make more sense to have a thread dedicated to G-Sync being the cause of studio lag if not already I would think.

Additionally, somewhat related, disabling G-Sync appears to fix my entire computer freezing up when I drag the window topbar of the roblox client app. (though it still lags a bit, nothing crazy)
