I am unsure as what the cause of this is, because I was developing casually and after changing the way the client framework started, this issue showed up. The output is flooded with up to 2k messages of “Unauthorized access” or “Click to give permission”.
Upon clicking prompts the “Share Access” UI. When I click “Share Access”, the window disappears. Clicking the error prompts again, the “Share Access” prompt is empty, indicating that I have given access to all of the audios. When the test session is ended, everything seems ok, but when another test session is started, the ordeal repeats. This also shows up in game, and published on a different place.
Audios would not play in game, and the F9 console shows that none of the audios have permission.
Shouldn’t have unauthorized audios since I’ve been developing in this place file for months, but clicking the error prompt for access sharing of audios, and then clicking “Share Access” should finalize all permissions for all audios, and not show up again.
Also started experiencing this, and it also happens in-game which is very damaging.
EDIT: Issue happens seemingly at random, seems less frequent in-game but can still happen.
We’ve seen this recently too. Audio we uploaded two weeks ago seems fine, audio we uploaded around 5 days ago seems to have this issue. We’ve given permission for the audio on https://create.roblox.com/dashboard/creations/experiences/xxx/permissions and we’ve done the reverse on the asset itself (presumably these are the same thing, it isn’t clear). The audio shows up in the exported CSV file, yet when we play either in Studio or on a real server the audio doesn’t load.
If I try re-adding the asset to the experience I get the “already added” message. I’ve tried this a number of times over the last 24 hours or so.
I’ve spent a lot of time trying to debug this and was about to post a report of my own. I’m fairly sure something has broken on Roblox’s end and I can’t believe this is intentional?
A track we’ve had it occur on: 109145235626583 on this experience: 5902543452 (both intended to be private, for now). The audio is uploaded to the same group as the experience.
…when I try to adjust the animation handler in my game. It’s kinda annoying, because if you don’t have permission, the whole script just breaks. It feels like a gamble every time I start the test, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
[The problem has been solved for me. It doesn’t happen anymore.]
Same here. It’s been happening all day for me. Not only audios, but animations too. No amount of granting permission seems to have it work. It’s certainly a mistake on Roblox’s end, bug or otherwise.
Yep, same thing here, started happening today
I also noticed the audio quality of my recent uploads have been really bad, but that seems to happen only if you upload short audios via the bulk import, not sure if thats just me tho, ill prolly do a report about that later
This is not the same issue. This error is meant to occur in that situation, but is now occurring when both asset and experience are in the same group and the asset has given permission to the experience.
Also could get an example sound ID and place ID you’re trying to publish to. Feel free to DM that information as well. Also how you were publishing? Was it local place or team create? Were you doing a normal save from an existing game or doing Publish As of an existing game to a new game
Hi,
To help to debug, may I ask you confirm few things:
asset 109145235626583, experience(universeId?) 5902543452 is owned by same group.
With the account who has edit permission, goes to Experience->Configure->Permissions, click Asset tab, then check whether such audio is there or not, or just manual grant this assetId if you didn’t find it.
To be able to better help, would you mind DM me your universeId those assetid is having issues? Also want to double confirm: is the experience and asset owners are same user or group.
