Studio reports auto-recovery file available after update when a place is open

Problem

Minor issue, but this has been ongoing since I can remember. Basically, if a place is open when you do an update, when Studio starts back up, you get an alert stating that there’s an auto-recovery file available, even if the place was saved right before the update. I would probably categorize this as more of a glitch than a bug, but it happens every time if you do not close the place first before the update.

The beta features that I have enabled are as follows:

As for plugins, I have a bunch that are installed, but very few are enabled. The ones that are enabled are listed below with links to their details page on the Roblox store website:

Expectations

After I save a place and start the studio update process, I expect to not see an alert that there’s an automatic recovery file available.

Reproduction

To reproduce the issue, perform the following steps:

  1. Open a place.
  2. Make some changes
  3. Save it.
  4. Start the update process.
  5. When the update has finished and Studio restarts, observe the alert.

Hi there,

Do you still experiencing this issue?

I think some improvement related to that field has been released recently. So I would imagine this shouldn’t be an issue now.

Thanks!

I will have to try it after the next update. I’ve been closing the place first and then doing the update.
