Studio sign in via another device when logged out due to IP change softlocks mobile app sign-in

I just flew to another country and was logged out of Studio since Roblox now invalidates your session if your IP address changes significantly.

I tried to log into studio via another device with the QR code flow, so my phone opened the Roblox app, but since my IP changed it obviously opened to the login page.

I logged into the app with 2FA, but then the app just returned me to the same login screen I just submitted and when I tried to log in a second time, the log in button was stuck greyed out.

After restarting the app by killing it, I was signed in correctly and shown the home page.

I’ve confirmed with one other person that they’ve experienced this issue as well under the same circumstances

Expected behavior

When on an IP address that invalidates your Roblox session, when signing into the mobile app after being redirected to it via the sign-in QR code in Studio, I should be able to sign into the mobile app without needing to restart the app.

Hi, thanks for reporting! We’re aware of this bug and are actively investigating. Could you please also let us know the model of your mobile device you were experiencing the issue on (e.g. iPhone 13, Google Pixel 7)?
