“take longer than normal” is how much exactly? can you record with obs or smh
Just like that and your stuck for like 3 minutes.
well… I’m not a roblox engineer, there is nothing I can do, sorry
if there was some kind of a debug mode with logging maybe that would be easier to find the problem (maybe there is but only for dev channels? idk)
It’s been a few months since many people started experiencing this issue. I’m wondering if it could be related to the new Gen Studio backend rework.
Did anyone else report it?
I was going to report it ( if it didn’t randomly happen )
Yeah, I saw other people reporting the same issue as well.
It doesn’t happen randomly for me, the longer I work in a place, the longer it takes to exit. I once worked for 12 hours straight, and it took around 10 minutes to exit the place and close the studio.

Someone fixed the issue by disabling all of their plugins. ( last link )
Good catch, maybe that’s why it didn’t happen when I was trying to record it ( I wasn’t spending more than 3 minutes in a game/place before closing it )
It isn’t the same issue though.
Anyway, I have only one universal plugin that I created myself over the years, and there’s nothing in it that could cause such issue. (No loops, no memory leaks, no direct connection to the place, and no leaving function apart from the datastore saving a table of strings).
Yeah, but same symptoms. ( it’s worth the try )
@butterthebig suggested the same fix for the same issue in another post ( with the same issue ).
in my main account ( this ) I only have 3 plugins enabled.
and in my alt I only have 1 (a wedge plugin ).
Anyway, I’ll try to disabling all of them and see.
I personally cannot work without my plugin because it has important features that I really need, and working without them is too much of a pain. I legitimately prefer working with my plugin and having a 2 to 10-minutes wait at the end of the work session rather than doing otherwise.
Does it happen on a specific place or every place? Can you pinpoint the activity that seems to trigger the delay more than others? (Different features you used, etc). As someone else mentioned in the thread, plugins can play a part in this, but one would expect this most of the time as they’re loaded for every place. Best chance to fix this is to isolate the behavior that’s causing the delay (either by the place or the plugin) and getting us to repro on our end.
In this case it doesn’t quite sound like a plugin issue, but its always good to rule it out if you can try running without the plugin and see if it reproduces. Depending on the machine and the place, some HW can struggle with large place sizes and lots of changes to them, but 10 minutes sounds a bit beyond what we’d expect. Would need to know more about the place and the HW.
