Studio Start Page flickers and glitches when Direct3D11 is set as the graphics API

Greetings,

Whenever Direct3D11 is set as the graphics API for Roblox studio, the Studio start page would create flickering and glitching effects when switching between tabs or opening dialogs or doing things like minimizing and maximizing the studio or even when just idling on it. This issue doesn’t occur when Vulkan or OpenGL are set as the graphics API.

Visual Aid:-

(For your information, the dialogs don’t appear in the video because Xbox Game Bar recorder doesn’t show them for some reason)

Detailed System Information and DxDiag log are available in the private message section.

Expected behavior

I expect the Studio Start Page to function fine without any flickering or glitching even when Direct3D11 is set as the graphics API, the same way it does when Vulkan or OpenGL are set as the graphics APIs.

This issue is still occurring even with the recently updated Studio Start Page. I would like this to get fixed. Since I’ve made this bug report ~5 months ago, I’ve already updated the discrete Nvidia Geforce MX330 GPU drivers several versions later and did the same to the integrated Intel Iris Plus GPU as well.

The MX330 GPU driver is now on version 32.0.15.8129 and the Intel Iris Plus is on 31.0.101.2135

Is this still occurring? We’ve done lots of fixes.

Unfortunately, yes, it’s still occuring.

Thank you for letting us know. Unfortunately we can’t seem to repro, do you have any additional detailed information on how to repro?

Other than having the graphics API set to Direct3D11 and just interacting with the Studio Start Page casually (opening it up, minimize it and maximining it, navigating tabs, opening places and leaving them) there’s nothing extraordinary about the repro steps.

I’ve tried to turn off fullscreen optimizations, changing the display resolution, changing the scale value, closing all possible conflicting third party applications, updating the integrated and discrete GPU drivers, clean installing Studio, etc but the only workaround that completely mitigates this is changing the graphics API to Vulkan from D3D11.

I just encountered this error as well. Same flickering at the top, very laggy in when navigating the game viewport too. Switched to Vulkan rendering and restarted the app, it worked like magic and fixed it. I’m very confused.
