When existing play solo, the mouse in the world viewport acts as if right click is being held so that the cursor stays in place while the camera follows the mouse movements. This behavior persists until right click is pressed and released within the workspace viewport or within a studio widget that registers right click input (ie. opening the context menu in the explorer or output windows).
In this video, right click not is pressed or held until the right click context menu appears at the end.
This becomes especially annoying when trying to quickly move the mouse across the viewport to access other studio widgets or moving the mouse across monitors because the mouse slightly jitters during the camera pan, causing the mouse to get stuck and unstuck.
Repo Steps:
I’ve found this bug can be reproduced 100% of the time even in a brand new place if right click is being held while entering play solo (via F5 keybind).
However, this bug often occurs when no keys are being pressed or held, though it occurs seemingly at random. Being in a larger place file and/or working in a place file for a long duration of time seems to increase the frequency of it occurring, to the point of almost being 100% of the time after an 8 hour work day.
This bug has affected me for well over 6 months at this point, across multiple computers.
System Information:
- Intel i7-14700K @3.40 GHz
- RTX 3060
- 32 GB Ram
Expected behavior
The mouse should not act as if right click is held if right click is not being held.
