It seems like the past few versions of Roblox have introduced quite severe lag on Windows 11 (I have yet to try if this is also true for Windows 10).
A few weeks ago the game used to be super fast and snappy, easily pushing 240+ fps with no noticeable latency. My GPU and CPU should be more than enough to not lag on Roblox (9950X3D and 3060).
Then after some recent update the game became really laggy, some games are even unplayable now. There’s like a weird stuttery slow-down whenever there’s anything more complex than a simple baseplate on the screen. I have not changed any settings between updates, neither in my client or OS and all other games work perfectly fine still, so I’m inclined to think it’s a Roblox issue.
It really is a shame since the game used to run so super smooth.
The microprofiler is full of spikes and peaks, jumping between 2 ms to 40 ms or higher. It’s almost as if the game is frameskipping or freeze framing to save resources or something. I remember the fans on my GPU would ramp up when playing certain games, now the fans remain quiet and there’s just a ton of stutter instead and the lag is present on all graphics quality settings.
Thanks for responding! It appears it was fixed in an earlier update. The game runs very smooth again now!
Maybe a different issue I would like to raise is to maybe prepare the servers better for the new “admin abuse” events that some big games run now. The servers are always having issues, not letting people join, randomly crashing and a bunch of stuff that really takes away from a fun experience.
Glad to hear the original issue was resolved! If the issue happens to re-appear any time soon, please feel free to reach out so it can be investigated.
This topic will be closed since the original issue is no longer happening, but please, I suggest doing a new report for the new issue you mention so it can be identified and filed on our end.
Thanks a lot for your understanding and your patience.
Have a nice day!
