Right now, when players are about to buy something, the UI just says “Buy Item,” which can be kind of unclear. It would be a lot more helpful if the UI could show the specific type of item being purchased.
For example, instead of saying “Buy Item,” it could say “Buy Gamepass” if it’s a Gamepass, or “Buy Face Accessory” for accessories. This would make it much clearer for players exactly what they’re about to buy, and just overall make the process feel a bit more polished.
This would also help against scams. A lot of games prompt young audiences with fake UGC items, which can be misleading. Showing the correct item category would make it harder for deceptive purchases to slip through.
I think this small change would go a long way in making the experience smoother, less confusing, and safer for everyone. Thanks for considering it!
This would be very beneficial. The purchase UI should also differentiate between game passes and developer products, probably with a label saying “This is a single-use purchase” or “This is a permanent purchase.”
To this day we still get reports from players complaining that they thought a developer product would be permanent and asking for a refund, forcing us to add ugly “ONE LIFE” labels to the developer product title or our game UI (which has actually impacted sales of those items by a noticeable amount).
