Hello everyone, im making a “Obby” kind-off area for an Event in my game. Before investing time into the system i wanted to ask if an Obby having Leaderboards for “Fastest Clears” and a timer on the side to track your speed would be something you care about or you consider it adds to the gameplay. Would it make you want to play it more? Please share your opinions and also if you have any other ideas, thanks!

Well, I dont really like time trial obbies because there are these hackers that beat a long obby in 3 secs
I think there should be some reward for finishing the obby, since its for an event, maybe something as simple as a badge?
I would play more if it was kind of hard
Like my obby, it is hard and it gives a reward at the end, well a badge
As you can see, 3 people completed it, me someone else, and a hacker
So, its not too easy, yet its possible
Time trial is an option, but you just have to make it “unexploitable” like add an anti cheat or something
You bring a really good point with adding some anticheat system otherwise the board loses purpose. As for the rewards and encouragement to completing it, we have many things in the works as incentives. Thank you for the feedback!
