Suggestions on Atmosphere

Currently working on an apartment showcase, I just about finished the kitchen and would love some constructive criticism or suggestions on what else to add before moving on with the rest of the build. I’m going for a sort of mid-level cost apartment that’s on the old side as far as construction goes, so there’s a mix of modern and old elements. I’d like the build to seem a little chaotic and almost cluttered.

Only input I have as far as critiquing the build is that the floor looks like it doesn’t have any grout in between the tiles. From how the image was taken, it looks like it isn’t there but I could be wrong.

If you’re looking for more items within the kitchen, you could add some dirty plates piled up next to or in the sink, maybe add some papers on the counter top as recipes and you could also add some hanging pans or shelves on the back splash for a spice rack.

Are you using future lighting? I cant really see any shadows, future lighting can really improve a showcase if you set up the light sources correctly :slightly_smiling_face:

Also maybe try using a smaller stud increment for the walls and floors (for example 0.05 so you can see the brick behind the details instead of a large hole and then the brick behind the details.

I would suggest also adding more things you would see in a kitchen, the walls seem very empty, maybe a calendar or spice rack, and a window! there is no natural light

One suggestion would be to add a tiny bit of reflectiveness to the fridge to give it a metallic look, currently I feel likes it a bit to plain.

I am using future lighting! Not sure what’s going on there in that pic. I’ve never thought about bringing the increment so low for walls/floors before, I’ll try that later. I’ll be adding little bits and bobs
