Supermarket Rush - Open Beta

Hello! I am the Project Lead for Supermarket Rush, and after 2 months of development, we have opened the game to Open Beta testing, we have hired Beta Testers who have given us bug reports, but we ask you do the same now, and check out our game for us!

Any suggestions? Please let us know on our Discord Server, but also to keep up with our newest Project Development.

Thank you!

I can’t seem to play the game…

May I ask what error is coming up?

On the screen with the options to Play, See Credits or Exit, it doesn’t take you to playing the game or seeing the credits, even if chosen.

You’ll notice I’ve just patched that, we did fix but didn’t publish, haha.

This is a great start. I really like your models as they all feel like they belong in the same world. I think there is a lot of potential here.

I did have trouble with the “timeout” screen. The Exit option never seemed to work, as I wanted to try to get back to the main menu and play the other stores. Respawning just put me back in the same store.

We’ll get straight on that, thank you for testing the game!

After playing the game I think it is a bit repetitive. There not a lot to do accept for walking around and click stuff. It is a good idea but maybe make it more intense. Something like making other players fight for a items. Maybe make a little minigame with the “I hate my job” type of clerk too (Something like when you order a drinks or things that need heating up, the way you demand it and the way the clerk look will affect how fast you’ll get your order) Just a couple idea.

I understand the idea of the game, that it’s a rush. At least for some people I’d think it to be a little too quick at some points. Not to bad for a start, this is although still what I expect for a game like this.

Pretty good game, it doesnt feel like a multiplayer game though. Update the GUI as its… not the best. Some of the items in the store look chunky outdated, may I suggest trying decals? otherwise this is a pretty good game & with work (different gamemodes?) it could be front page potential

Tested it out and it’s really cool to be honest. The GUI could be a bit better, but overall really epic game.

The game is a really nice concept and I really like this game. I don’t see any misplaced food anywhere, and every food is where is should be just like a normal store or supermarket. It gives you a little brain exercise to memorize where everything is and gives a chance for speed runners to do this also. It also provides a challenge where there’s spilled things in certain areas and makes your player trip which I found extremely neat.

Some bugs I found was where when I tried pressing the “exit” button, and it never let me leave. Another thing was where I saw the “Info,Gamepasses,Credits” buttons were also not functional at all. Something I found was where you can scroll out of the store, and you can see a baseplate, maybe have the game 1st person? Also some food is going through the wall a bit, ie cans.

The game is pretty well built, there are a few menu bugs that i’m sure can be ironed out, and the UI seems a bit plain for today’s standards. I can’t really seem to grasp the appeal of the game though. There isn’t much to do besides grocery shopping, a task not often associated with fun. Maybe add in a competitive aspect ?

We are adding a leaderboards option soon - so plays can compete for the highest spots depending on how fast they can complete a level.
