Issue: Team create for our place file gets unusably laggy after a period of minutes and requires constant restarts. After initiating or exiting a playtest in our game, all of the terrain in the place seems to load out and load back in - causing substantial lag. This wasn’t an issue a few months ago, it seems to be more recent. This happens to all members of my team in our place file while using team create, across several devices. This only seems to happen with this place file: our other games with smaller maps don’t have this issue in team create. This lag does not appear in the live game or when editing the place solo outside of team create! This is how we know it’s a team create issue.
To reproduce, use the “Wanted Development” link attached to the post and start a team create with that place file. Start test session, play for a bit, exit out, and repeat a few times.
The issue is especially pronounced when joining/exiting playtests within studio (non team tests). We feel it is related to the physical size of our game - our game is especially terrain heavy and any time you enter and exit a playtest, you can see all of the terrain on the map re-loading, which hangs studio and prevents us from making actions. There also seems to be some kind of memory leak, where studio gets permanently slower over time (might also be related to terrain unloading/reloading?)
