My account “SHUXSHU3” was terminated on August 5th over a meme template, the same one from [Account was banned from posting a meme that is still on the platform everywhere] and [Roblox Please Patch Your AI Moderation], just with a different character in the back (Goku from Dragon Ball).
This exact template is still up all over the platform right now, in the catalog and in games, uploaded by countless accounts that never got touched, while others get terminated for it. So I’m adding my case to the pattern. Not trying to appeal here, I know that’s not what the forum is for.
I uploaded the image twice in one session, once as a decal and once as the developer product icon for it. Neither was ever visible to players. At 3:34 AM the first one got moderated (7 day ban) and at 4:44 AM the second one got moderated, which escalated it to a termination for “repeated or serious rule-breaking.” I was asleep the entire time.
When I asked Appeals what happened, they told me in writing I was moderated for “sending messages to other users.” Every violation on my Safety Dashboard is type “Image.” There is zero messaging moderation on my record. When I pointed this out with violation IDs they closed the ticket saying they’re “unable to provide any further information.”
So the same image gets ignored for some, a warning for others, and a termination for the rest, and the terminations themselves come with contradictory records. Multiple people have been terminated over this template, and at least one of them was reinstated [Account permanently ban cause of a decal that still could be found currently in roblox creator store decals tab], with another reportedly quietly unbanned as well. I’ve been developing on this platform for years and games I contributed to got affected too, which hurts people who had nothing to do with this.
The image was never meant to promote harm or anything inappropriate, it was a meme I’d seen circulating on the platform and I uploaded it as a joke asset without thinking it through. I understand and respect the Community Standards and if given another chance I would never upload anything like it again. What I’m asking about is the severity. Roblox’s own first review decided this image was worth a 7-day ban, and I would have served that without complaint. It only became a termination because the same image got reviewed twice before I ever woke up. I’m fully willing to accept the original penalty and ensure every future upload strictly follows the guidelines. If any staff sees this, all I’m asking is for a human to review the account action against my actual record.
