After creating a new island of terrain with the Roblox terrain editing tools, published builds of our place no longer work. The issue started immediately after the new terrain was painted.
- Server bootup takes roughly 3–4 minutes, then fails. Server scripts take so long to load that they eventually time out.
- Entering the published build and publishing the place each take a few minutes longer than before.
- The new island is about 7,000 studs wide and adds about 20 MB to the place file.
- StreamingEnabled is enabled.
- Removing the new terrain entirely, or rolling back to a version before the terrain additions, fixes the issue.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open the terrain problematic file.
- Publish the place
- Start a server in the published experience (Roblox Player).
- Observe the publish taking a few minutes longer, and the server taking 3–4 minutes to boot before server scripts time out and the build fails.

Expected behavior
The place publishes and servers boot normally after adding the new terrain, and entering the published build is playable.
