Terrain Editor seems to be locked to y-axis

Hello, I’m trying to use the terrain editor in my game to add grass. The issue is that it seems that the Terrain Editor is stuck on the y-axis. If I go high and try to add grass, the grass that gets added is really below it.

I’ve tried disabling plane lock and disabling my plugins, and I’m not sure what the problem is.

Try disabling the Plane Lock in the terrain settings.

I have tried disabling the plane lock, it did the same thing.

The Terrain Editor’s “Add” tool is not locked to the Y-axis. This is because your problem is that the terrain is only adding on an X-axis.

With this aside, you need to understand that you can’t place terrain on top of parts; here’s what I see as well:

If I am wrong with this, report it as a bug.

A solution to your problem would be filling in selected regions using the Terrain Editor’s “Select” tool and then filling in the desired volume with chosen terrain in the “Fill” tool. After this, you can edit your terrain as if it were a clay sculpture that started as a few basic shapes.

If I’m way too low, lower than the baseplate then I’m not able to use the edit tools because they’re way too high. Also, a couple days ago it was letting me place terrain on top of parts, but now it doesn’t work.
