All of this terrain is grass, however, unloaded terrain appears with strange grey patches scattered randomly throughout it. I’ve tried changing all of the material colours but nothing seems to fix this. It happens in game too.

Hm, this is very likely a glitch. Try contacting the DevEngementTeam about it to see if you can make a bug report :)

Is it just Terrain or is there a grey Part slightly under the surface of the grass that is showing through when the Terrain is being rendered from a distance?
No grey part just terrain, it also changes based on streaming enabled distance.
Possibly try bumping up your graphics to max, if you don’t know how to do this in studio reply
I do have my graphics in studio set to max and I have them to set to max in game and the bug still happens.
Is guess is caused by the rendering, the more you are close to the terrain and the more detailed will be Shapes will seem strange and textures different but going close should fix, try using the Paint tool and painting the terrain again i guess Those are the parts you missed but the terrain engine just merges them and when too far the rendering is bad so they look in that way
Also IDK if there is a way to fix and see it always good, i guess is related to roblox engine
