I have these two maps for a discovering game, but I can’t decide which one I like more. Pick a map you like and tell me why and add if there needs to be any changes.

First one 200%. I think it has more verticality and unique locations not just in looks, but also gameplay-wise. Second one just looks too flat and monotone without any distinctive areas.

I agree, the second was generated and I was just going to build off of that.
The first looks very detailed. Good for showcase. Second one can be used to make less laggy game.

I think that the first terrain is better than the second because it have many details !
The first one fore sure because it has some variety.
The first one looks much more finished, although if there is underwater stuff in the second one then you wouldn’t have to do much improvement to make it look nice. I guess it depends on what discovery game you want.
