Terrain sometimes causes serious occlusion culling issues

I’m not entirely sure what causes this as I have been unable to reproduce it in another place file but it seems like having disconnected terrain structures (for example, a section of cave that is surrounded by part-based builds and has no direct connections to other terrain) creates major issues with the occlusion culling systems.

This area is built inside of a terrain based cave. Nothing has changed besides the camera position between these two pictures. Notice how a large amount of parts and terrain are being culled when they shouldn’t.

Another example of parts being culled that shouldn’t (part of the wall is culled)

I would like to note that the terrain itself is also being culled in these cases. It has only happened so far with larger open spaces inside of a piece of terrain.

Here’s an outside view of some terrain that causes the issue (it’s hollow):

Hi Chedski,

This sounds similar to an issue I fixed a couple weeks ago Occlusion culling is not rendering objects that are in view. Could you confirm that this issue is still happening?
If not I will close it out

I’m gonna close this now since I wasn’t able to reproduce the bug and I didn’t get confirmation that it is still happening.
Please reply to this thread or send me a PM if you are still experiencing the bug
