I am making a lobby system where this “kick” button comes in to kick players from the room. But for some reason, the button glitches when hover. Also when i click it doesnt detect the clicking since its glitching. this only happens in this button tho, all of the other buttons are working perfectly fine.
Is the text from the same component as the button (i.e. is it a text button) or is there a button with a textlabel (or similar) on top of it?
Can you please (temporarily) scale up the button (to make it bigger), and see if the issue still occurs?
i am going to try please wait a sec
yes for some weird reason. dont forget that im using a grid layout im sorry for not telling early i forgot lol
‘Yes’ as in the issue still occurs?
yeah its the same glitch again and again
I noticed in your screenshot of explorer earlier that kickButton has descendants. Can you please send a screenshot of what they are?

i dont think the ui corner affects it but i can try again without the ui corner
Based on your initial video, it seems that the highlight occurs when you are not hovering on the text. Can you please (temporarily) remove the text (just set the text to ) and see if it occurs still
okkkayyy let me try we are getting somewhere
nah it didnt fixed the problem. still the same problem
Odd. If willing, can you please provide a portion of the UI (even if it’s just the “Player2” bit) as an RBXM file, so I can test if it occurs for me as well?
i think i found the solution. in my script it updates the player list EVERY SINGLE FRAME, so basically in every single frame it deletes all of the players in the player list, controls and regenerates the player list. so i think deleting and respawning the frame makes it so buggy. i will try to fix it by that way
Yeah, that would do it! Simplest fix would be to update the player list based on events - there should be some sort of event when a player is added or removed from the relevant list.
and yes! it fixed the problem. thank you really much for your help. i wont forget you, maybe i can add your character as an easter egg ![]()
