Quite simple! I want to make it so the text isn’t client-sided on ROBLOX; I tried a forum annd I’m aware there’s various posts, non of em are working.
Local Script:
local Event = game.ReplicatedStorage.RemoteEvent
script.Parent:GetPropertyChangedSignal("Text"):Connect(function()
Event:FireServer(script.Parent.Text)
end)
ServerSided Script:
local Event = game.ReplicatedStorage.RemoteEvent
Event.OnServerEvent:Connect(function(Plr, TEXT)
print(TEXT, "Server")
end)
Thanks!

Can you expand on your question a bit more? Are you saying that you can still see the print output on the client?

Looks like it is in workspace.
Did you insert a LocalScript or did you insert a Script and change the RunContext to client?
Normal LocalScripts cannot run in the workspace
Scripts with RunContext set to client can

I’m saying, it doesnt’ work in general; like no output, no changes etc. basically like the scripts isn’t working.

I tried putting the scripts instead of game.workspace to StarterPlayerScripts, and changed the runcontext to client, and is working now; thanks!

Scripts (by-default server scripts) with RunContext set to are client are meant to go in shared places (e.g., workspace, ReplicatedStorage)
Normal local scripts go in places each client has a copy of (e.g., StarterGui, StarterPlayerScripts)
What you’re saying makes it seem like you put a script that runs for everyone in StarterPlayerScripts, which isn’t good.
Yeah, the intention is for it to be a whiteboard where players can write and it submits on focus lost. I know LocalScripts run per client, so I’ve set it up so that each client sends their input to a RemoteEvent on the server, which handles the submission.

Ok, just tell me if you see
Warning: The script 'Script' with a non-legacy RunContext is parented to a container 'StarterPlayerScripts', which will cause it to run multiple times. To avoid unintended behavior, consider setting the RunContext to 'Legacy', disabling the script, or moving it to a different location.
Alright thanks, will let you know.
