I am trying to import a crate from sketchfab however it just doesn’t export with textures. I tried with glb, gltf, and fbx. All of those don’t have the textures.
I then tried importing the model to blender then exporting as fbx with embedded textures however that also gives the same exact result.
I have also tried with many other models but none of those work as well
Please help I have almost no idea about blender and am very stumped! I also read many different topics similar to this but could not understand what it meant.
I haven’t used sketchfab for 3d modeling, but the original issue looked to be the Normals being inverted, or one of the issues.
For the texture, I assume the embedded texture path for the texture in SketchFab was changed and not updated or something, breaking it. Maybe there’s a setting when exporting from Sketchfab.
Hope that helps, I’m only really familiar with Blender and the general process of what might be wrong.
Your model has inverted normals, game engines render one side to save a lot of processing power.
To fix it (assuming you use blender) going to your model pressing A to select all (in edit mode) and then Shift+N should solve it but in the top right corner there’s some menus, find the toggle that says “Face orientation” or something similar, your model’s faces will be either Blue or Red, make sure all visible faces are blue
The blue side of the face will be rendered, the red one will not, when your faces are corrected reimport your mesh into studio
