Textures rendering issue

Hey! I’m having a really weird issue with Texture objects on mobile.

I have textures on basically all sides of most Parts in my game (I would say on every part just except meshes), with Transparency = 0.9. When the player moves around or changes the camera angle/distance, some textures randomly turn completely black. It seems to depend on the camera position/distance.

Some things I tested:

  • Transparency = 1 → the issue completely disappears.
  • Transparency = 0.99 → the issue comes back.
  • Transparency = 0 → the issue still happens.
  • Setting MeshPart.DoubleSided = true → no difference.
  • StreamingEnabled = false → no difference.
  • Removing all scripts → no difference.
  • Removing all textures → the issue completely disappears.
  • The issue happens on mobile at the highest graphics settings, but not at the lowest settings.
  • I cannot reproduce it on PC.

This makes me think it might be some kind of texture rendering / alpha blending / mipmapping / mobile GPU rendering issue.

I’ve attached a video showing exactly what the issue looks like.

Has anyone experienced something similar or knows what could be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Since the video you attached is running Mobile. There has been some rendering errors exclusively on Mobile (Andriod for what I’m aware)

You might want to consider making a Bug Reports about it. Or perhaps wait to see other developers experience a similar issue in a Roblox Game on Mobile.

To give my experience, playing Forsaken (Roblox HQ map) a custom mesh using highlights doesn’t give the accurate RGB rather gives a error/glitch like colors of Green/Red on Mobile Andriod.

This is a known issue among mobile rendering. It is unfortunately not something you can fix at the moment.

Edit: Sorry for wrong reply :folded_hands:
