This is distinctly NOT a feature request for an in-game prompt for a Like/Dislike (similar to the in-game favorite prompt).
I think it would be a fantastic idea for users to be able to Like/Dislike a game from within the ESC menu (and mobile/tablet/console equivalents). Currently, it requires way too much effort to leave a rating on a game. Players on mobile have to leave the game, and rejoin, and even Desktop players who use the Roblox App instead of website have to leave the game in order to leave a rating, which would be a negative algorithm signal since their session time is cut short even if their intention was to just leave a rating. This leads to negative algorithmic signals even if their intention was positive, leaving developers no choice but to either accept this risk or to have super low ratings.
Many games get “dislike bombed” because players have no incentive/reason to like, due to the unreasonable amount of friction/effort required to do so, so most players who do enjoy the game will not Like, but players motivated by “rage” (such as players who lost in an obby, died in a pvp game, etc) will dislike, inflating the game’s dislikes.
I think giving the players the ability to Like/Dislike a game from inside the Roblox client would help increase user engagement by a significant margin. I’m surprised this isn’t a feature already!
