It’s been several months, almost a year now, but the Continue section is doing a terrible job of listing the games I’ve played recently.
And I’m not crazy to think that I played some of the games on this list a long time ago, and it’s missing my private places where I test my own games, it also miss regular games I joined through what my friends were playing at the moment.
Also, let’s say I recently play the horror game called “Happy”, I know it’s one of the last games I recently played, but it’s not listed, it’s far far behind these games!! Why? I don’t know!
Also it’s been a long time I haven’t played “The Battle Bricks” !!! It shouldn’t be there! I know I played a lot on “Happy” but it’s not there, so what’s the point of this section??
I miss the old section “Recently Played” it was more clear. Continue is more confusing because it has more meanings like I paused a game that I liked and I should go back. No what if I was testing, discovering a place I don’t like? No Continue is not the right word for this. Recently Played was the best one.
Some changes that appear to be improvements can sometimes turn out to be the opposite, as well as being riddled with inconsistencies and bugs.
Here an example of the recent games which are mostly wrong. It lacks several experiences that I recently played.
Bring back the way “Recently Played” section or fix the way you register the games we played.
Because since a few months, I stopped trusting this section and now I keep my roblox experience links on a third party software, like a note application or on a social link between friends.
With regards to some games you’ve played missing from your Continue sort, it may have to do with a caching bug we fixed just over a month ago. I tried joining a game through the “join” feature on what a friend was playing and the game showed up in my own Continue sort, so I can’t reproduce your issue; if you keep seeing missing games from the Continue sort*, please link the exact missing games and I’ll dig deeper.
As you’ve already noticed, the Continue sort does not rank games in exact reverse chronological order of play. Games in the Continue sort are ranked just like games in the Recommended For You sort, and there are many factors the algorithm considers. I understand that there is some tradeoff here that can cause some frustration when trying to hop into a game you were just playing, so I’ve forwarded this feedback to our team.
*Note that private games are not supposed to show up in the Continue sort - that’s expected.
Thanks for the reply! That explains why I can’t find certain private experiences, which is a shame because some of them are useful. I understand that hiding them can be useful for casual players who are testing games, but for a developer testing their own games, it’s a real shame not to be able to find them in Continue.
I’ll keep an eye on the next games I’ll be playing and I’ll let you know the games missing and how I joined them.
Ok here an update, only I havent to all these games recently except npc tournament, Outfits Universe and 99 nights in the forest, the rest is VERY OLD (Halloween Spotlight played 1 week ago)
No longer showing up and the list of recently played game messed up! I havent played a lot but I didnt replay to realistic outfits, neither halloween, neither CAC so it"s so weird
I encountered a peculiar occurrence today. Within my “Continue” menu, my newly released game—which I had just played—was absent, yet the test build of that game appeared.
This is utterly absurd, as my test build is private, whereas my official release version is public. Yet, astonishingly, only my private build was displayed in my “Continue” options.
