The PS5 port of Roblox having frequent FPS drops, lag spikes, and slow asset loading

I just thought this could get any worse. The PS5 version of Roblox always lags in some games like in the following videos:

Regretevator

Stuff takes a while to load, the game drops down to lower framerates at certain points, alongside lag spikes in-game.

Meleeniacs

Same things, the game goes back to 60 fps after the match is over and during menus, but not while you’re in the main menu when a match is still going.

Sell Lemons

When there are multiple people in the game with most of their buildings visible, the game drops down to framerates lower than 30 fps.

Then I found out that Roblox on this console has a Power Saver mode. I turned it on and the results are still the same.

In conclusion, my PS5 and the game itself are at the latest versions. In my opinion, I think the Xbox Series version of Roblox performs way better.

Ever since the PS5 got its own version of the Roblox app (rather than the PS4 version), a lot of our players in Croydon: London Bus Simulator | Play on Roblox have voice’d about poor performance in comparison to the old PS4 app that was available on both [playstation] consoles. There was no difference to the game during this transition period and players were opting for the old PS4 port due to the increased performance - until it was no longer available to them.

I believe we have voiced this via other channels but have never had the data to submit an official bug report. Players experience stutters, severely low frames or slow replication - even though this worked fine before this new version was released on the same device and same connection.

I have heard similar concerns from players on other games where they have also seen performance tank to the point they deem it unplayable and do not return.

We think our issue may actually be that PS5s are seemingly on low power mode by default, with performance being fine after it’s turned off.
