Section One - Text Chatting
(1.1) Basic Etiquette

All users are expected to respect each other and use common sense in text based chat rooms and channels.
(1.2) Harassment

Harassment, targeting, and bullying of any kind are strictly prohibited inside text channels.

Debate is permitted as long as it is civil and does not turn into an argument.

Provoking or baiting to respond in a hostile manner is strictly prohibited.

Encouraging suicide or self-harm in any way is strictly prohibited.
(1.3) Discrimination & Bigotry

Discriminatory comments on the basis sex, gender-identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, nationality, disability, religion, or other protected status are strictly prohibited.

The usage of slurs against any group with protected status is strictly prohibited.

Posts, images, or videos enforcing negative stereotypes of any group with a protected status is strictly prohibited.

Insulting or mocking one’s physical appearance, including body-shaming, is strictly prohibited.

Groups with protected status include people of color, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, the disabled community, religious groups, women, and other minorities.
(1.4) Inappropriate Content

Pornography, disturbing or discomforting content is strictly prohibited.

Sexual comments, images, or content is strictly prohibited.

Masked links are strictly prohibited.
(1.5) Spam

Pinging an individual more than two times without consent in a short amount of time is strictly prohibited.

Sending an excessive amount of text causing other messages to not be seen in any text channel is strictly prohibited.

Sending an excessive amount of images causing other messages to not be seen is strictly prohibited.
(1.6) Advertising

Advertising servers or games unrelated to the United States is strictly prohibited within our communications.
(1.7) Prohibited Topics
-
Mocking, protest, or challenging of rule or moderation action is strictly prohibited.

Bypassing the chat filters is strictly prohibited.
Section Two - Voice Chatting
(2.1) Basic Etiquette

All users are expected to respect each other and use common sense in voice channels.
-
Ear-deafening noises and sound are strictly prohibited.
-
Any disturbing and discomforting voice changers are strictly prohibited.
(2.2) Harassment, Discrimination & Bigotry
-
Harassment, targeting, and bullying of any kind are strictly prohibited inside voice channels.
-
Discriminatory comments on the basis sex, gender-identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, nationality, disability, religion, or other protected status are strictly prohibited.

The negative use of slurs against any protected group or characteristic is strictly prohibited.
(2.3) Arguments & Debates

Arguments and debate are allowed within voice calls, but must adhere to existing rules regarding voice chatting and must remain civil.
(2.4) Video & Screen Sharing
-
Video calls & screen sharing is allowed in channels where permission is given, but must adhere to existing rules regarding voice chatting, inappropriate content, or inappropriate content.
(2.5) Private Voice Calls
-
Private voice calls are not exempt from existing voice chatting rules and will be moderated where a moderator is present or where a valid report is made.
(2.6) Public Voice Events

Public Voice events must adhere to existing voice chatting rules and will be moderated where a moderator is present or where a valid report is made.
Section Three - Announcement & Special Channel Rules
(3.1) Use of Announcement Channels

The “Main Announcements” channel is only to be used for special events, elections, and group staff announcements. This channel may only be used by Group Managers and their superiors.

The “Executive Branch” channel is only to be used for updates or important information regarding the Executive Branch and the current administration. This channel may only be used by Department Directors and their superiors.

The “White House” channel is only to be used for updates or important information regarding the White House and the current residents. This channel may only be used by Senior White House Staff and their superiors.

The “Legislative Branch” channel is only to be used for updates or important information regarding the Legislative Branch and the current Congress. This channel may only be used by Congressional Leadership.

The “Judicial Branch” channel is only to be used for updates or important information regarding the courts and their rulings. This channel may only be used by Judges of the District, Circuit, and Supreme Courts of the United States.

The “City Announcements” channel is only to be used for updates or important information regarding their municipal government, city council, and municipal services. This channel may only be used by Deputy Mayors and their superiors.
(3.2) Use of Special Channels

The “Bot Commands” channel is only to be used for bot commands. Discussion and other content here is strictly prohibited.

The “Counting” channel is only to be used for adding to the group’s collective count. Counting more than once consecutively or resetting the count is prohibited. Discussion and other content here is strictly prohibited.

The “Campaign” channel is only to be used for political campaigns, candidates, and parties related to the United States. Servers and links posted must be related to the United States. Discussion, insults, or other content here is strictly prohibited.
(3.3) Misuse of Channel or Pings

Discussion or content unrelated to the purpose of a channel is strictly prohibited.

The President & Vice President are only permitted to use @here in announcement channels. Group Staff is permitted to use @everyone in announcement channels.
Section Four - Additional Communication Server Rules
(4.1) Direct Messages, Discords, & Group Chats

Direct messaging or calling a member of the community or staff with threats or sexual harassment is strictly prohibited and can lead to punishment within network communications.

Discord servers that are not owned by the Founders or staff are strictly prohibited to be advertised in our communications server.
(4.2) Disclosure of Private Information

The disclosure of private information without written consent of the individual is strictly prohibited inside all communications.
-
Blackmail, Doxxing, DDossing, or other attacks using an individual’s private information is strictly prohibited.
-
Private information protected includes photos, name, address, phone number, email address, or other identifying information regarding an individual.
(4.3) Moderators & Group Staff

In all situations, group staff may use their discretion in resolving a violation of the communication rules.
-
Disrespect towards moderators and staff regarding their office is strictly prohibited.
(4.4) Statute of Limitations

The use of alternative accounts inside the communications server is strictly prohibited. Exceptions are for account change purposes only.
