Hello there!, my name is TreySoWavvy and I am a scripter who has been developing on Roblox since about 2017. This is my attempt at creating my own plugins.
So this has probably been attempted multiple times, I personally love the version of this created by @Vorlias. Essentially, this is a plugin that allows you to change your script editor color themes to specific presets created by the community. Vorlias has undergone an interesting effort in this and I wish to build on that.
The goal with this plugin is to allow scripters themselves to create and submit their own themes for the community to use freely.
Current Roadmap:
Allow users to favorite themes, and have them saved in a separate category for later usage
Allow users to upvote themes, with the more popular ones being shown in a “Popular” tab.
Wait for rich text to drop so I can format code block examples with said colors. for more accurate demos.
Thank you for stopping by, I’ll be posting updates on this. Let me know what you think along with any suggestions to make this more convenient to the scripters out there who might benefit from this.
I have indeed encountered that sort of idea before. However, I never seen a working demo. If this works properly and does in-fact do what it’s designed to, I’d be more than happy to use this in the future.
A way to share my scripts’ color schematic with friends and followers and the community in general would be a great way to bring out the inner works of development, and inspire people to start scripting and/or start making cool color schemes.
My end goal really is to allow other developers like myself to express their creative nature that comes with their editor colors, since each developer has a theme tailored to their tastes, moods, etc. Unfortunately due to Roblox’s current lack of support for other fonts, I can’t display the samples using a more appealing monospaced font but I have faith in Roblox’s future development.
