Looking for opinions on making farming games right now, with grow a garden being the most popular game on roblox. I’m not sure whether I should create a farming game.

It really depends on what your goals are as a game developer. If you want to make popular games (I have no problem with that whatsoever) then go ahead. But if you want to really challenge your skills as roblox creator and make something new, you should probably make something different (unless you make an ultra realistic farming simulator). I do think farming games are pretty popular now, but to me they sound like a new breed of the simulator/tycoon gameplay loop, but with extra steps.

Is farming a topic that you care about?
Is farming a topic that you fantasize about?
Don’t follow in other peoples footsteps, it’s MUCH easier to just do your own thing.
