This is the first logo I’ve ever made and I’m looking for things I can improve with this in hopes I can sell this type of logo in the near future.
I know this is a very basic one so I will make a better and more complex one once I have more time

I suppose you’re right, what I’m looking to improve right now is the text itself and then I’ll start making the background so it becomes a full logo.
Do you have any feedback for the text design itself?
makes a cool font but as for a logo I don’t think it fits as well, but if this is your first time creating something along these lines then it’s nice for beginners. i suggest making mock up products or mock up names to make logos for. you get great experience from it and learn more about design. e.g “Swiftation’s Coffe Shop” you could make a mock up logo of that and keep doing small things like that.

The shine of it gives it a cartoony feel and the darkened part of it gives it a 3D Feel, looks very nice but. The black outline seems a little overkill/doesnt really fit with it? Maybe you could make it white?

It is a very good starter logo. For those who previously stated on their feedback, this IS a logo type. It is called a wordmark in graphic design terms.
I can tell when looking closely that you used the paint tool for the O for the white highlight. I actually do like how you tried to implement this but there are other ways in which would make it look cleaner.
If you don’t have access to illustrator (which is an amazing program for anyone interested in graphic design), try making a circle and then cutting it around the edge of the O.

although that is true, in terms of using it for a game, group logo, or something Roblox related I don’t know how much use it could get out of that. It could also be considered a font as well perhaps using it for the text of the games name, group name, or whatever use. If this font (I’m going to call it a font in this case) was used on a thumbnail and fit right in it’d be great. Though this all varies on useage.
this is actually very nice though and I’d try and implement it into something. like I stated above making fake mock-up names to make logos is a very good start. you can create a portfolio for them and save the files as PSDs and sell them.
so with all that being said SturdyStubs is correct it could be considered a logo though I would add more to it. If you’re planning on making this work for a Group Icon I’d add more, if this will be used for a Game I’d convert it into a font and use that for the text, if this is being used for UI I would keep it as it is.

You need to add background decor to make it pop! Like a firework of something, what ever the theme of the game is, add it to the background.
