Thoughts on Game Lobby?

Hi. I made this a while back for a game I was making and decided to work on it a bit more. I’m not really a builder, but any criticism is appreciated! Ignore the GUIs… was too lazy to get rid of them lol

It looks very bright. Maybe use darker colors for it. It could also use some more detail in the interior, like potted plants somewhere, or just paths leading to different things around the lobby.

Yeah I was thinking about the emptiness as well. Thanks!

I like your lobby. I think the blue is a great touch! The ui work is very nice to. I would change the obby color from white to something just as bright.

It looks good! The only thing that I would change is as said before the colors of the lobby. I find that they’re a bit too bright and don’t look that good. Try changing them to a lighter more basic color. I would also add indoor plants and benches maybe some trashcans to add some more detail to the lobby. Lastly I would move “terrances’s tips & tricks” to the center of the lobby/windows as displayed in the fifth picture.

Oh okay, thank you so much! ^-^

I hope that I could be helpful!

The colour scheme is too basic and bland to the extent where it can be pretty hard to see where you’re actually going. I’d add more detail to the floor and the building itself or make it a lighter shade of grey and add a darker blue color to the some parts of the building to have a more welcoming feeling to it I think the whole entire building needs some refining to it the walls. The colored texts appears very out-of-place, especially when compacted into such a small area
.
Maybe try to remove the dark blue strokes from the floor since that doesn’t fit within the build try to find a color that looks good to you; a blue color is often used to make small areas pop, so it generally looks a bit plain at the moment.

I’d improve the text on the signs., it is very plain and they seem to be different sizes did you use a text plugin? Maybe have a more appealing color added in the build, which will improve the overall design of the place.

It looks looks very bright use darker colors for it as my friend @GalaxyGourmet suggested . Looks pretty empty try adding some stuff and details. Try adding some stuff or games inside your building so your player won’t get bored (Add anything that you think will be good for players to NOT get bored). Perhaps making the lightning much better would make your game better looking, you can see tutorials in YouTube I would recommend Sheasu (But you can choose any tutorials I am not stopping you ).

I love the design, and the UI looks amazing! The only things I would change would be maybe how plain the lobby is, like add something in the center or so, and another thing would be is maybe add a different color in there. I would rate this lobby an 8/10. Seriously though, good job!

I think you should add more colours to it and maybe some decorations but overall it looks good!

The whole build in general is very vibrant in a bad way. Also that you should notice how the decorations in the build look lazily made. Another thing to note is the lines in the build. It is a good thing to add, but in my opinion-- it’s too much for this specific build.

it seems a bit empty in the centre, maybe adding some chairs, tables,or a couch in front of the TV would make it seem a bit less empty. Overall this is really great, great work :slightly_smiling_face:

The main noticeable thing that I spot when I look at this is the lighting and even part coloring method you used. Try making the coloring more distinct to make the game extra spicy and less bland.

The lobby is a little too simple, maybe add some things to fill up the gaps in the middle. You could add in plants, posters maybe, and other fun decorations. I recommend kind of downsizing the ‘Terrance’s Tips & Tricks’ booth to make it fit the character more. Other than that it looks pretty good. Good luck!

Gives me 2014 Vibes, feels to simple, bright, messy but that does not mean it’s not good, a lobby can start simple and gradually get better so I think it’s fine!

Pillars extending from the floor to the ceiling would add more depth if put in correctly!

Additionally, try having more color diversity with the different sections of the lobby; for example, maybe have the obby room be a dark purple instead of the same blue as the rest of the lobby, just to make it easier for players to have a sense of location.

For the NPC booth, maybe make it smaller since there is only one NPC and he is much smaller than the booth. You could also put something against the back wall of it, even something as simple as stripes or some other wall design.

Try to add a color combo, super bright and the npc at terrance’s tips and tricks is very small in comparison to the stall
