Thoughts on my first GFX

I did this of Vikinglaw, one of my favorite developers. He’s developed so many successful RP games and shooters so I decided to do a GFX of him. I did this in blender and photopea, this is my first time so some tips or things I should improve on would be nice.

What I think was really bad was the background. I didn’t do anything special to it.

It looks awesome! In my opinion the background is fine as long as you change font of ‘Vikinglaw’ because it is antique and typically, an in my opinion, antique doesn’t really go well with a cartoony-happy style GFX! However, it looks fabulous for a first GFX.

I wrote vikinglaw to show who it was, I can easily change the font though. Thanks for the feedback!

the background lighting doesn’t match, posing is too cramped and not executed well, legs aren’t good for gfx like this don’t show legs. gun holding is awkward, and the lighting isn’t great.

I personally don’t think the background matches the look of the character, he looks strong and tough but then the background is yellow, one of the least manly colors.
I would also like to know what is going on with his legs right here:

I looks kind of painful.
Overall pretty good

To start, the yellow background doesn’t look good at all. It doesn’t fit any theme at all and it belongs in a simulator game. The avatar no matter how you put it just looks bad, the UGC hair on the R6 avatar, the low sleeve jersey shirt, the odd pants, and the shades look off putting and weird. I would say the lighting is good if it didn’t look like a studio set. I would recommend changing the shirt and pants, making a more natural hair, just making the avatar flow in general, changing the background, and the lighting. All together, 4/10. It dose have some good quality’s to it but not enough.

This clothing/accessories are on vikinglaw’s avatar.
