Hello. I thought it would be cool to mix the games pmebge (pretty much every border game ever) and wacky wizards, with its own twist. The twist is, you have to do quests for people, which give you tokens. You can also find a bunch of other things, then make potions! You can also buy swords and other weapons.
Just wondering, would you play? Why or why not?
Let me know if this is the wrong category, I’ll change it.
I wouldn’t play it. Sounds boring, repetitive, and no general goals for actually playing the game. Like why would I play a game like another game when I could just play the original of what you’re trying to make. Its like people that try to make rogue lineage type games. I can just play rogue lineage which is a way better developed game and its actually fun. If you want people to play your game you should at least put more effort into the idea rather than im gonna take all these other ideas and just combine them and add 1 little game mechanic that separates me from the rest. Quests arent even that fun to do, most quests are like go to this area, kill this thing, collect set amount of things. Its just a bother and if the only goals of doing quests are to get weapons that seems really boring. Just my opinion though, someone else might like those types of games and play them, but I personally would never step foot in a game like that.
That was kinda harsh, but they have a point. It sounds like a good idea, just make it as non-repetitive as possible. I think the hard part would be to get players to come back, but overall I think its a good idea.
I would probably not myself play a game like that.
However, I do find it to be an interesting idea. You would definitely need either a lot of people and or a good builder to make it successful.
The reason why I woudn’t play it is simply because it is not realistic enough for me. I like games that focus on players needing to solve problems and or work together instead of a “QUEST” and “GRIND” system. I find games like them pretty boring. Two reasons:
If progress is slow I feel like I am getting nowhere
If progress is fast I finish the game in 2 days then it gets boring and the only fun thing to do ingame is flew on the noobs…
I would probably not include a task system like that if I were making a game like that.
Sounds epic! You could make the quest mechanic kinda like that game google made
They made it so one quest led to another and then after that another and then a satisfying ending all while playing little minigames like collecting arrows or opening a cafe for an one
@Ryuunske it really depends on the game. I don’t really like anime fighting simulator because all you do is
But I also love the quest system in that google game because of what I said earlier and in Shindo because the whole game isn’t about quests its just a side thing that you get money from
