Thoughts on this type of game?

I have a question about a specific genre/ niche game. Im thinking about making a space combat game. What seperates it out from all the others is realism, specifically physics the game is going to take place around a planet (gas giant) with several moons players will have rockets to get around the system and fight over these moons the game will utilize realistic orbital mechanics and fuel management will be a mechanic of the game. Basically this is taking kerbal space program and gamify it a lot more. Currently this type of game doesn’t exist on roblox or practically anywhere which has lead me to two conclusions this is a really horrible idea that’s why it doesn’t exist or its a original idea which I find hard to believe.

Now to the next question would anyone actually play this type of game?
Obviously considering roblox’s playerbase… young kids I defenitely would expect them to find the game too hard and not play. Which leaves the game to like 14+ players who can actually understand how an orbit works is the playerbase for nerds even exist?

Lastly I would like to mention ideas similar to this… So far simulator games haven’t gone well on roblox not the slop kind of simulator, true simulators I would like to mention AirX 2020 by widgeon… a flight simulator with decent physics, aerodynamic simulation, and certain aircraft systems were made and executed quite nicely, autopilots, throttle etc and the game flopped its dead. The game was a little too niche you had to know how aircraft worked to a certain extent. The only other example Im seeing at the moment of a simulator being gameified is well microsoft flight simulator 2020 the new sequel release mfs 2024 is essentially the old version with game retention mechanics a leaderboard, career mode etc and its being released soon. So im curious how it will turn out.

So would you play this type of game? if not do you have any ideas for game retention mechanics for gamifying these realistic simulator games such as kerbal space programme.

I would play this game and I would have a blast, I am 14+ though. if you want to try aiming for younger audiences then you should add nukes and explosions where you can watch the planets get destroyed. My 4 year-old brother plays games and he doesn’t care or notice if he loses. All as long as he is having fun doing something cool
